How long will my order take to get to me?

We offer next-day delivery as standard and can often supply same day if required. For bulk fuel deliveries – please allow up to 48 hours

Where do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to all of the mainland UK. For any deliveries to Highlands and Islands, please email us for a quote.If you purchase goods and we do not deliver in your area – we will send a full refund straight away. If you are unsure, please contact us to check.

How can I change or cancel my order?

Since we aim to deliver your products as soon as possible, please alert us of any amendments to your order at the first opportunity. To do this, simply give us a call us on 020 8507 0123 and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

We accept credit and debit cards (excluding Amex), BACS, Direct Debit, and payments by phone.

Are engine oil and motor oil the same?

You might have heard engine oil referred to as motor oil or vice versa. Both products are the same in the market and simply refer to any substance with a base oil that's laced with additives (anti-wear additives, dispersants, and detergents, to name a few).

Are gear oil and transmission fluid the same?

Gear oil is a lubricant for manual transmission while transmission fluid is a lubricant for the automatic transmission of semi-trucks and other heavy and light-duty vehicles. In essence, they perform the same functions. However, they differ in chemical composition.

Can compressor oil be used in air tools?

This is a good question. Yes, you can use compressor oil to lubricate air tools. You can use any “light” oil to do the same job. But, the oil must be compatible with the tool’s seals and the airline material. It is not recommended to use WD40 or 3 in One type oils. Products with an ISO number of 10 - 15 would be ok.

Can engine oil be recycled?

Automotive oil recycling involves the recycling of used oils and the creation of new products from the recycled oils, and includes the recycling of motor oil and hydraulic oil

Can engine oil go bad/out of date?

Motor oil does go bad after a certain period. It has a shelf life of around 5 years if it has not been opened. But it is preferable to utilize the oil within a year of opening the bottle. Otherwise, the oil might go bad even before the expiration date ends.

Are hydraulic oil and hydraulic fluid the same?

What oil / lubricant do I require?

Due to the varying types of engines and machines out there, we understand that picking the perfect product can be daunting. However, we have taken all of the confusion out of this process by having a Total Lub Advisor. Even if you can’t find a product on our website, you can always contact us to find out if we have it in stock.

Is hydraulic oil biodegradable?

Mineral-based (hydraulics oil manufactured from the oil out of the ground). Hydraulic oil is not biodegradable. It is very toxic if spilled. Biodegradable hydraulic oil is manufactured in a different way using completely different technologies.

How much hydraulic oil in a forklift?

That depends upon the size of the forklift. The one in the depot will hold about 40lt. A forklift at Felixstowe docks will hold about 400lts.

Why does engine oil turn black?

Thick, very dark, or black engine oil usually indicates that your oil has been exposed to dirt or dust contaminants that lead to a soot build-up.
